Almost the same as patapon 2, version 3 is still showing the battle between the heroes against the evil forces that would rule the world by using the rhythm.
Gameplay on offer here are the same as the previous series where players must press buttons to the rhythm to control the patapon such as attacking, doing defense, including trying several combinations of attacks.
The types of units that can be controlled also varies among other archer, spear throwers, Horseman, pikeman, sworsman, and etc. Description of each tribe can be seen at the bottom of the avatar, making it easier to choose the most favorite character. By taking the items that were dropped from an enemy or an area that is passed, you can create evolve into more powerful forces. However, different from previous versions where in previous versions you become a god, so now you fight as one hero patapon drummer. Patapon task in this series is no longer going to Earthend, but trying to seal back the evil forces that have been released from a long sleep. This game will offer more than 80 missions and gamers will be faced with more than 20 terrible bosses. This game can also be played in multiplayer via ad-hoc or online, in mode four-on-four-battles.
